Description
COMBINED SYNOPSIS - SOLICITATION FOR COMMERCIAL ITEMS (IAW FAR 12.603 (c)) (i) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. FAR 13.5 also applies. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Proposals are requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. (ii) This solicitation/synopsis reference number is F1MTN13023A001 and is being issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ) (iii) This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-65 (iv) This acquisition is 100% set-aside for small businesses. The associated NAICS code is 238220 with a $14 million size standard. (v) Contractors shall submit a lump sum quote. All responsible sources may submit a quote, which shall be considered. An Optional site visit will be conducted on 22 Feb 2013 at 0900 All interesteed vendors please E-mail the Points of Contact on the bottom of this Solicitation by 19 February 2013, for further instructions to Gain access and attend the site visit. (vi) The Contractor Shall accomplish the Following work: a) Remove and Replace the existing industrial area heat pump (Located on Joint Base Charleston Weapons Station's YFN-797 Barge) - Trane Model No. WCH024A, 10-ton capacity packaged unit, 20-KW electric heat - with an equivalent heat pump (Name Brand or Equal) complete with new thermostat (and cable, if needed), transition adapter to mount to existing roof curb, condensate drain line routed from the barge roof to the main deck discharge location, and crane services required to land the unit on the barge roof. b) Remove and Replace the existing industrial area heat pump (Located on Joint Base Charleston Weapons Station's YFN-797 Barge) - Trane model No. WCD120A400A, 10 ton capacity packaged unit, 20-KW electric heat - with an equivalent heat pump (Name Brand or Equal) complete with new thermostat (and cable, if needed), transition adapter to mount to existing roof curb, condensate drain line routed from the barge roofto the main deck discharge location, and crane services required to land the unit on the barge roof. c) Heat pumps shall be installed in accordance with all manufacturers' recommendations. Two copies of all manufacturers' literature shall be provided with the units at time of installation. d) Six sets of pleated filters (40% efficiency minimum) Shall be provided with each unit. e) All installation and testing services shall be provided (vii) Work must be completed by the Following Date (29 March 2013) (viii) The following clauses and provisions are incorporated and will remain in full force in any resultant award: (full text of clauses and provisions may be accessed electronically at this website: http://farsite.hill.af.mil) FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial (ix) FAR 52.212-2 Evaluation-Commercial Items Evaluation. The Government will award a contract resulting form this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the government, price and other factors considered.
