Description
This is a SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE (SS) to determine the availability and capability of potential vendors to provide Reconstructive Tissue Matrix on Consignment to the Salisbury VA Medical Center. This SS is for information and planning purposes and shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation on the part of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). The NAICS Code is 339113. Interested potential offerors are encouraged to respond to this notice. The purpose of this SS is to identify qualified business concerns that are interested in and capable of providing the items herein. The VA may or may not award a contract on the basis of responses. The VA will not pay for the preparation of any information submitted. As a result of the Notice, the VA may issue a Request for Quote (RFQ). There is no solicitation available at this time. The primary objective to be accomplished under this procurement is to provide the Department of Veterans Affairs - Salisbury VA Medical Center with a stock of Reconstructive Tissue Matrix to have in-stock and on-hand for surgical cases. The items on consignment will be at no cost or expense to the Salisbury VAMC until an item is used. At time of use, the Prosthetics service line will issue a PO for the item. Description of Items: The Reconstructive Tissue Matrix is a surgical mesh that is intended for use as a soft tissue patch to reinforce soft tissue where weakness exists and for the surgical repair of damaged or ruptured soft tissue membranes. It is made of porcine skin dermal matrix and provides for an implant which is strong, biocompatible and will incorporate into the recipient tissue with associated cell and microvascular in-growth. Product# and Descriptions: (item numbers shown are Lifecell and are being disclosed for informational purposes): 254002 (20x45); 203002 (20x30); 202002 (20x20); and 162002 (16x20). Interested parties may submit product literature for consideration to: dori.dabbs2@va.gov. Responses received on or before 10:00 AM EST, February 26, 2013, will be considered.
