Description

The VA Network 22 Logistic Office intends to negotiate a sole source procurement in accordance with Far Part 12 and Far Part 13.5 with Hologic Inc. under authority of Far 6.302-1. This procurement is for the maintenance and repair of the Government owned Hologic Mammography System and associated systems (Digital Stereo Loc II and Cenova Cad). The Hologic Mammography System, Digital Stereo Loc II, Cad and Plastics is proprietary equipment from Hologic Inc. and is the only company that can provide software upgrades, maintenance and repair of proprietary parts to the VA Long Beach Healthcare System. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirements by submitting their request in writing with complete name, address, telephone and fax numbers, and a point of contact. The Government will consider all quotes received by 12:00 PM, PST, February 29, 2013. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed procurement based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Inquiries will only be accepted in writing by email.
