- Description
- Acquisition WorkBench Scheduling Tool RFI 1.1 Background. The Acquisition Workbench project is a non-ACAT initiative to consolidate the critical information from various Acquisition Line of Business (LOB) systems currently being used by the Acquisition community into a Services Oriented Architecture (SOA) environment. The effort will provide acquisition services to the entire AF Acquisition community and associated Department of Defense (DoD) offices. Based on early capability planning activities in the Services-Oriented Architecture (SOA) arena, a non-ACAT initiative was established to consolidate the critical information from various Acquisition Line of Business (LOB) systems currently being used by the Acquisition community into a SOA environment. SAF/AQXI and the program planning components of the AFPEO Business Enterprise Systems (BES) AFLCMC/HIB Program Management Office (PMO) have partnered to create and evolve the concept of the Acquisition Workbench (AcqWB) in support of the Acquisition community. The initial AcqWB release, known as SMART v14.0, will host multiple service components (access control/security layer "AQ_IDM" and analytics/reporting toolset "AQ_Analytics"), the SMART application re-hosted at the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) (SMART 12.4), and a front end user interface based on Microsoft SharePoint 2010 (User eXperience-UX). 1.2 RFI Objective. Determine whether commercial tools are available to accomplish Enterprise Scheduling Capability in support of AcqWB on SharePoint. 1.3 Description of Products and Services. This RFI seeks to identify vendors within the 8A ste-aside program or on the NETCENTS Application Services contract that are capable of providing tool(s) capable of Enterprise Scheduling in a SharePoint environment.
