Description

In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 5.201(b) (1) (i), this is a notice of the West Palm Beach Veterans Affairs (VA) Medical Center's intent to enter into a sole source contract with Maquet Cardiovascular to provide maintenance for 2 Maquet Medical Systems CS300 Intra-Aortic Balloon Pumps (SN 17356C0 and Sl174306D0 system at the West Palm Beach VA Medical Center from March 01, 2013 through February 28, 2014. This action is authorized by FAR 6.302-1: only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This action is necessary due to the proprietary nature of the Maquet Systems. Responses are not being solicited to this notice. Any comments should be submitted by February 25, 2013 to Sylvia.Nobles@va.gov.
