JBER_AK_PWS_ATCH_G5_ACRONYMS Packing and Crating Services for Department of Defense personnel relocating to and from Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Fort Wainwright – Eielson Air Force Base, & Clear AFB/Delta Junction/Fort Greely, AK JBER_AK_PWS_APPN_D_PRE-AWARD_SURVEY_GUIDELINES JBER_AK_PWS_ATCH-G4_DEFINITIONS JBER_AK_PWS_ESTIMATED_QUANTITIES The 673d Contracting Squadron at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson (JBER), AK, is contemplating an award for Packing and Crating Services for Department of Defense personnel relocating to and from Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Fort Wainwright - Eielson Air Force Base, & Clear AFB/Delta Junction/Fort Greely, AK. The contractor will furnish all personnel, equipment, facilities, supplies, services and materials, except as specified herein as Government-furnished, for the preparation of personal property of Department of Defense personnel for shipment and/or storage and related services. Work to be performed will be those services in the Schedules awarded to the contractor as outlined in individual Contract Line Items Numbers (CLINs). The requirements of the Performance Work Statement (PWS) apply to Direct Procurement Method (DPM) shipments only. If specific instruction or requirements are not provided, commercial standards of services and best business practices are acceptable. The solicitation will result in a firm-fixed-priced requirements contract with estimated quantities, base year period of 1 July 2013 through 30 June 2014 plus one each three month option period, which could extend the contract until 30 September 2014. In addition it will include the clause entitled FAR 52.217-8 Option to Extend Services which allows an additional six month extension, if determined necessary by the Government. A follow-on contract to continue services after the contract awarded under the above solicitation FA5000-13-B-0001 expires will be separately solicited and awarded with a base year and four each 12 month option periods intended to begin on 01 October 2014. This acquisition is a total small business set-aside for small business concerns under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 488991. The small business size standard for this NAICS is $25.5 million. A formal Invitation to Bid will be issued on or about 08 March 2013 via the Federal Business Opportunities (FEDBIZOPS) web site at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. Any prospective contractor must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) in order to be eligible for award. To be considered, responsive offerors must register in SAM at https://www.sam.gov/portal/public/SAM/ before submitting an offer.
