Please provide these guidelines or provide more specificity on the author and publisher or let us know where they can be obtained. VA Answer-Design guides can be found at WWW.CFM.VA.GOV/TIL 2.Can we get the drawings in AutoCAD Format? The Adobe files do not enlarge clear enough to read. VA Answer-Only PDF at this time. Autocad will be available after bid award. 3.Is there a conceptual drawing for Area 2 & 3 to clarify better work flow for providers and patients? VA Answer-no, it will be the design build teams responsibility to design the space to meet the needs outlined in the scope of work. 4.For Area #1, the RFP has a requirement to maintain negative airflow into the entire area. Does the VA know if the area currently has negative airflow? Does the VA know if the air handling unit currently serving the area has adequate outside air for Area #1 to be negative? Do you have existing Testing and balancing Reports? Questions is does it require a New Air Handler? VA Answer-it is not known if the area is currently in a negative status. The air handler is currently below full capacity, a new air handler will not be required. The controls for the dust collection will have to be interfaced with air handling to maintain negative pressure in a manageable environment. 5.For Area #1, Mechanical scope Item 12; Is the current ceiling mounted air filtration adequate or is the intention to have something better than this? VA Answer-The air filtration system is adequate and will be removed and reinstalled by the contractor. 6.For Area #1, Mechanical scope item 10; What is the desired manufacturer or specification basis for the dust collection system? Is it acceptable for the lighting level of 50fc be an average light level across the entire area? A minimum level of 50fc measured anywhere in the space will result in very high lighting levels beyond IES recommendations for this type of space. An average level of 50fc is a more appropriate design basis. VA Answer-50 FC average will be sufficient. 8.On Electrical for all areas it says Provide or relocate existing as needed, can we get a Not to exceed number of electrical outlets for each area? VA Answer-As this is a design build project the design should include a minimum number of electrical outlets at least equal to the number existing and in use now. 9.Same Questions for Telecom is there a not to exceed amount for Data outlets? VA Answer-Same answer as question #8 10.For Area #2, Item 1; With respect to the MEP items in the exam rooms; If the existing exam room requirements differ from the VA standard, are we supposed to design the relocated exam rooms to be like the existing? VA Answer-the VA standard is the minimum requirement, any additional MEP items in exam rooms shall be sustained. 11.For Area #3, item 4; Will the new cubicle furniture for the project be integrally powered or will wall receptacles or power poles be required in lieu of receptacles mounted within the furniture from the factory? VA Answer-Power poles will not be required, base feed or plug in type cubicles shall be defined after project award. 12.The MEP scope for Area #2 and Area 3 appear to be cut/pasted from Area #1. Please confirm which items, like negative airflow, dust collection, etc. are not required for Areas 2 and 3. VA Answer-air flow shall be as per design guides in areas 2 and 3. Dust collection will not be required for areas 2 and 3. 13.Can you provide smoke and fire partition walls of existing ?
