Contracting Office Address Department of Health and Human Services, National institutes of Health, National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Library of Medicine, 6707 Democracy Boulevard, II Democracy Plaza, Suite 700W, Bethesda, Maryland 20892 Description The National Institutes of Health (NIH) National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases has a critical need for maintenance and repair service plan for: 0723870 LTQ-Orbitrap Velos SN#03097B-Coverage: Unity Essential Support Plan-MSPEC-LC-MS; ETD01-1000 Factory ETD Option for LTQ XL & Velos-Coverage: Mass Spectrometry Options. Single annual PM as well as service calls associated with Technical failure of the instrument. The proposed period of performance shall be (12) months from date of award. Place of Performance: National Institutes of Health, 9000 Rockville Pike, Bethesda, Maryland 20892. The Government will accept the job performed by the Contractor. If it is a repair, equipment needs to demonstrate continuous performance. Services to be performed: The Company will provide a qualified technician to perform maintenance as needed. Place of Performance: National Institutes of Health, 9000 Rockville Pike, Bethesda, Maryland 20892. The Government will accept the job performed by the Contractor. If it is a repair, equipment needs to demonstrate continuous performance. The intended procurement will be classified under North American Industrial Classification (NAICS) code 811219 with a size standard of $19.0 Million. Offerors who are capable of providing at a minimum, fifty-one percent (51%) of the required/actual services of this solicitation. All respondents are requested to identify their firm's size and type of business. The acquisition is being conducted under FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP), therefore the requirements of FAR Part 6 B Competitive Requirements are not applicable (FAR Part 6.001). and the resultant purchase order will include all applicable provisions and clauses in effect through the Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-56 (March 2, 2012). This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities in response to this synopsis, by March 8, 2013, 11:00 a.m. Eastern Standard Time. The determination by the Government not to compete the proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct future competitive procurement.
