- BELOW ARE THE RESPONSES TO QUESTIONS SUBMITTED REGARDING SOLICITATION VA259-13-R-0345. QUESTION 1: Can you provide pickup delivery time expectations? In the statement of work there are 9 pickup and delivery points covering over 1,000 miles, but no times or locations where the items will be delivered. ANSWER 1: The pickup/delivery time for the CBOC and PCTOC locations is between noon and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday. The final destination after deliveries/pickups are completed will be the Sheridan VAMC location. The pickup/delivery time for the Sheridan VAMC location shall be no later than 7:00 am the next business day. Items to be returned to the CBOC and PCTOC locations shall be picked up from the Sheridan VAMC location. Occasionally as stated in the statement of work, other pickups/deliveries may be required from/to locations not listed in section B.2.3.1. QUESTION 2: To get a general idea of the anticipate volume, a.Please define types of medical equipment and supplies b.Size of boxes and/or totes c.Please provide example of size/weights of containers ANSWER 2: a.Some examples of the types of medical equipment and supplies are in section B.2.2.4. These include canes, walkers, crutches, paper supplies, etc. b.The approximate size of the boxes and/or totes is 2 ½ feet x 2 ½ feet c.As stated in section B.2.2.5. "No items shall weigh in excess of 35 lbs, unless specifically discussed and accepted by the Contractor in advance." QUESTION 3: Do you have an estimated amount of pickups that can be provided? ANSWER 3: Please see section B.2.1.2. in the statement of work. "Usually the deliveries would fit into a small van, utility vehicle or station wagon with available cargo space of approximately 192 cubic feet (4'x6'x8') for deliverable items." Vehicle should be large enough to ensure that no items are left behind. Volume changes based on the needs of each location. QUESTION 4: Will the VA provide all needed containers? ANSWER 4: Yes, the VA will provide all needed containers. QUESTION 5: Can you please advise as to whether there is an incumbent contractor for Solicitation # VA25913R0345? If so, could you please provide the contractor name and the contract number that was awarded? ANSWER 5: Medical Logistics Solutions, Inc. provides services. The contract number is VA259-13-P-2798.
