Description
The Naval Air Systems Command intends to place a modification against a delivery order on a BOA contract (N00019-10-G-0006) with Raytheon Company located in El Segundo, CA for additional scope to Statement of Work for the Special Test Equipment (STE) Updates and Process Updates for the Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) RADAR Commercial Depot with Automated Troubleshooting Capability to Diagnose and Validate Repair of the Configuration Variants of the APG-79 AESA RADAR for the United States Navy and the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) F/A-18 program. The increased scope includes configuration for H5 and H8 RADAR Operating Flight Program (OFP).The AESA manufacturer is the Raytheon Company, El Segundo, CA. Award of the original BOA was made with authority under FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Raytheon is the original designer, developer, and manufacturer of the AESA RADAR for the RAAF F/A-18F aircraft. As such Raytheon is the only company with the unique knowledge, expertise, special skills, facilities, manufacturing techniques, and technical data required to complete this requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties may identify their interest and submit technical information and a technical capability statement in response to this notice. Responses without a return address, mailing address, and company telephone number will not be recognized. No phone calls will be accepted. Proprietary data in the responses will be protected where so designated. Offerors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database to be eligible for contract award or payment from any DoD activity. A determination not to compete this proposed effort based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
