Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office VISN 6 intends to negotiate sole source procurement with GEO-MED LLC. This proposed contract action is for Custom Surgical Packs 1.Cataract Pack 2.Aneurysm Pack 3.Knee Arthroscopy Pack 4.Shoulder Arthroscopy Pack 5.Lumbar Laminectomy Pack 6.Chest Pack 7.Extremity Pack 8.Total Knee Pack 9.General Surgery 10.Open Heart Pack 11.ENT Pack 12.Carotid Pack This procurement is in support of Charles George Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Asheville, NC. The VA intends to procure this requirement on a sole source basis in accordance with the statutory authority of 41 U.S.C. 253(c) (1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES and no solicitation will be issued; however, any firm that believes it can meet these requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements. Responses are due by February 20, 2013 at 2:00 PM. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
