- NOTICE: Sources Sought SOLICITATION #: F2FT35234Bill2 POSTING DATE: 22 FEB 2013 RESPONSE DATE: 5 MAR 2013 1:00 p.m. CST NAICS Code: 334111, Electronic Computer Manufacturing SB Size Standard: 1000 This announcement constitutes a Sources Sought Synopsis (market survey). This is not a request for quote (RFQ) or a request for proposal (RFP). This announcement is for information and planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, implied or otherwise, to issue a solicitation or award a contract. The Government will not pay for any cost incurred in responding to this announcement. Any information submitted by respondents to this Sources Sought synopsis shall be voluntary. The purpose of this sources sought synopsis is to determine interest and capability of potential qualified businesses relative to the NAICS code 334111. The Small Business size standard for this NAICS code is 1000. To make an appropriate acquisition decision for this project were it to be solicited, the Government may use responses to this sources sought synopsis. Large and Small Businesses are invited to answer this market survey and provide their contact information to determine market capabilities. Hurlburt Field, FL, is conducting market research to determine the existence of potential sources to provide Warrior Pak Power Stations. The potential requirement will consist of the contractor providing: 1. Otter Box iPad Defender Case (SKU# 77-18640) or equal. - Quantity: 2130 cases - Specifications: - Rugged, light-weight, protective and functional design with shock and impact resistant, non-slip, grip-texture to prevent accidental drops - Must not exceed 1lb total case weight - Must incorporate adjustable stand to support table-top viewing in portrait and landscape modes (throughout various lighting conditions) - Must incorporate some type of protective shield (for safe transport) - Must not restrict or inhibit any of the devices native functions or touch screen - Serves as functional protective case throughout full range of operations - Must be compatible with generic (non-specialized) leg and hand-mounted iPad kneeboards - Must provide reasonable protection from impact, drop and particle intrusion - Easy construction/deconstruction (to separate device from case if needed) - Must have a built-in protective screen that does not hinder capacitance from user or implement NOTE: Please submit electronic response indicating capability to supply the aforementioned item(s) via line card or published description (no more than 3 pages) as well as POC (name, telephone # and email address) along with contractor's CAGE, DUNS, and the physical location of their facility to the addressed listed within this notice. All work shall be performed at the contractor's facility. This request may not directly lead to a Request for Quotation/Proposal. Deadline for submission is 1:00 p.m. CST, 05 Mar 2013.
