Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System (VAPHS), University Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15240 intends to issue a request for proposal (RFP) solicitation for "Resident Catered Food Service for Lunch and Dinner Meals." Synopsis of requirements are as follows: Seeking a vendor who can provide up to 35 Resident catered and delivered Lunch Meals - Monday thru Friday (including Holidays) and 15 Resident catered and delivered Dinner Meals - 7 days of week, (including Holidays). Requirement is to start immediately upon award of contract. Contractor tasks include: Sanitation Requirements, Food Preparation off-site, Delivery of Food, and Managing supplies and equipment needed to provide complete, non-staff, catered meal service. The request for proposal (RFP) will be a full and open competitive local area set-aside for small businesses. This RFP solicitation will be resulting in a twelve (12) month firm-fixed priced (FFP) contract with one (1) one-year option period to the offeror whose proposal provides the "best value" to the Government based on specific evaluation factors. The North American Classification System Code (NAICS) is 722320 with a Small Business Administration (SBA) size standard of $7.0 Million. When publicized, on or about February 27th the entire solicitation will be made available on the Government Point of Entry (GPE), FedBizOpps website at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. The solicitation can be accessed by searching the "opportunities" link. Paper copies will not be available. You may download the solicitation and submit your proposal as required in the solicitation. Telephone and fax requests will not be honored. Once the solicitation is posted, it is incumbent upon the interested parties to review this site frequently for any updates/amendments to any and all documents. All firms or individuals responding must be registered with SAM (System for Award Management) www.sam.gov.
