Description

SOLE SOURCE PROCUREMENT Southwest Regional Maintenance Center (SWRMC) intends to solicit and negotiate a contract for two rubber seals per NAVSEA Dwg 7456271 Rev A. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source, Morse Rubber LLC, address: 3855 Main Street, Keokuk, Iowa 52632. The statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition is 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). SWRMC intends to enter into a Firm Fixed Price contract in accordance with FAR part 13.106-1(b)(1)(i): Soliciting from a single source. The basis for restricting competition is that as the original equipment manufacturer (OEM), Morse Rubber LLC, has sole and exclusive proprietary ownership of the parts and materials for the rubber seals.
