Description

NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT The Department of Veterans Affairs Bay Pines VA Healthcare System anticipates awarding sole source procurement to a small business, Information Control Management Corporation Dynamed perpetual software single site license as this system provides the necessary inventory tracking of medical supplies and equipment used throughout the hospital on a daily basis. Loss of this service would impact patient care in areas such as surgery, ICU, SICU, Pathology and Laboratory, Nuclear Medicine and many other areas of the hospital. Without the inventory tracking system software and hardware service it is impossible to inventory and track the distribution of supplies. Perpetual Software Single Site Licenses is the intellectual property of Information Control Management Corporation. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES and no solicitation will be issued; however, any firm that believes it can meet these requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements. Responses are due by March 7, 2013 by 1 PM. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This is an informational notice only, not a solicitation for proposals. NAICS code # 511210 applies to this procurement.
