- Question 44 is added in the description as additional text due to difficulty uploading revised Q&A document to site: Question 44: RFI reference: COE section (3.2.4) Are we submitting information on what my organization could bid as the COE device itself or are the question oriented toward what the OTN features are required to support a COE device? Meaning, should we or not bid a COE device? Is the COE device part of this RFI? Answer: DISA is looking for Information (RFI) as market research to collect information from the vendors on their products, their product plans and their business model in support the Next Generation Transport Technologies. This RFI should address the four main transport functions (OTS, OTN, P function and COE) as a single NE or multiple NE as requested in the RFI. The due date and time for RFI respones remains the same. The purpose of this amendment is to post questions and answers and Revision 03 of RFI document. Due date and time remains the same. The Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), Network Services Directorate (NS), is conducting this Request for Information (RFI) as market research to collect information from the vendors on their products, their product plans and their business model to support potential customers during a certification process in support of Next Generation Transport Technologies for DISA Network. This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes and does not constitute a solicitation. All information received in response to this RFI marked Proprietary will be handled accordingly. Responses to the RFI will not be returned. Whatever information is provided in response to this RFI will be used to assess tradeoffs and alternatives available for determining how to proceed with the acquisition process for the Generation Transport Technologies for DISA Network products. In accordance with FAR 15.201(e), responses to this RFI are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. This Sources Sought Synopsis is requesting responses to the following criteria from businesses that can provide the required products and services under the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Codes 334111, 334112, 334118, 334210,and 541519. Limit the technical questions to the central theme of the actual requirement. Questions for this RFI will be due to the email address identified below No Later than (NLT) 14 Feb 2013, at 5:00 P.M Eastern Daylight Time (EDT). The resulting vendor submission should be a technically sound response. Firms who wish to respond to this should send responses via email NLT 07 Mar 2013 at 5:00 PM Eastern Daylight Time (EDT). The response should not exceed a 5 MB e-mail limit for all items associated with the RFI response. The responses should be sent to jacqueline.d.johnson20.civ@mail.mil.
