- Strategic Systems Programs intends to award a contract to BAE Systems Technology Solutions and Services Inc. Rockville MD using other than full and open competition to provide Systems Integration services and support. BAE is the only responsible source with unique facilities and personnel expertise required for this procurement. In accordance with FAR 5.207(c)(16)(ii), all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. BAE Systems will provide the following services for the Strategic Systems Programs (SSP): weapon system coordination, safety class engineering, conduct of installation test programs, direct logistics support of deployed forces, and support of logistics management programs. These services include coordination documentation, electrical diagrams, systems publications, shipyard installation test support, test equipment and test data analysis, and support for re-engineering the Strategic Weapons System as appropriate in response to guidelines resulting from continuous improvement initiatives, configuration management through SSP Alterations (SPALT) program, logistics engineering, Preventive Maintenance Management Plan (PMMP), Standard Maintenance Procedures (SMP), systems level documentation and training curriculum support, logistics planning, logistics engineering, field logistics services, and network development and maintenance. In addition, BAE Systems will provide the following products for the Common Missile Compartment (CMC) concept development effort to ensure that the existing TRIDENT II (D5) SWS is compatible with the Concept Development efforts being pursued for the CMC Program: weapon system coordination, class engineering, configuration management, logistics engineering, test support and test data analysis, systems-level documentation, network development and maintenance and facility engineering and design support. They will also provide technical and engineering support to the CMC concept development efforts for SWS life cycle cost control evaluations. The period of performance will be from 01 October 2013 through 30 September 2014, with two one-year options with a total period of performance from 01 October 2013 through 30 September 2016 if all options are exercised. The resulting contract will also include a provision which gives the Government the option to increase the level of effort up to thirty percent (30%) over the level of effort provided for in the contract.
