- This is a notice of intent to award a contract on the basis of other than full and open competition in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The United States Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity in support of the United States Institute of Surgical Research will award a contract with AAALAC International for their Annual AAALAC International Accreditation Fee. It is not anticipated that any other source can provide the service. This is not a request for proposal. Interested parties that can meet this requirement may respond with their capabilities to include past performance sponsoring or providing the same or similar services. All responses received will be considered to determine if this requirement may be available for full and open competition. The closing date to receive responses is March 15, 2013 at 11:00 AM Eastern Standard Time. Only complete responses will be considered. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement is in the best interest of the Government.
