Description
Issuance of the solicitation is being extended to, on or about March 5, 2013. The National Park Service (NPS), Department of Interior, is soliciting proposals for construction firms having the capability to perform the work described as follows: the removal and replacement of all existing stage lighting fixtures and components within the Second Jail Exhibit Area of the Fort Smith National Historic Site Visitor Center in Fort Smith, AR. The replacement lighting system will be a track lighting system with commercial grade single circuit line voltage track, and all necessary connectors and connection accessories, power feeds and mounting, installation and hanging hardware. All new lighting equipment will have a black finish to match existing lighting system. This project includes the removal and replacement of all existing PAR lighting fixtures which are attached to mounting poles suspended from the ceiling rafters, and all PAR lighting fixtures attached to the mounting poles over the mezzanine area. The offeror selected shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment and expertise necessary to perform all operations required for the successful completion of this project. Complete requirements description will be contained in the solicitation. Type of Acquisition: A negotiated, firm-fixed price (FFP) contract will be awarded requiring submission of both a technical and a price proposal. The government will consider an offeror's technical capability, experience, and price to determine the Lowest Priced Technically Acceptable (LPTA) offer to the government. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this project is 238210-Electrical Contractors and Other Wiring Installation Contractors and the small business size standard is $14.0M. In accordance with FAR Subpart 36.204, the estimated price range for this contract is $25,000 - $100,000. This solicitation is advertised under Small Business set-aside. A solicitation will be posted to the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website at https://www.fbo.gov, and on the FedConnect website at https://www.fedconnect.net/FedConnect/Default.htm, on or about March 5, 2013. Hardcopies of the solicitation will not be provided; however, the solicitation shall be made available via e-mail upon the contracting agency's receipt of an e-mailed request from the interested party. It is the responsibility of the interested parties to monitor the FBO and FedConnect websites to download any amendments and attachments which may be issued against the solicitation prior to the solicitation's closing date.
