- Description
- The Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP), Field Acquisition Office, Grand Prairie, TX intends to make a single award for the provision of Document Clerk Services. The Document Clerk will provide assistance to the Health Services department for support to the inmate population at the Metropolitan Detention Center, Highway 28 Intersection of Road 165, Guaynabo, Puerto Rico. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 561110 (Size Standard: $7 million). All Contractors doing business with the Federal Government must be registered in the (SAM) database. The website for registration is www.sam.gov. The contract periods will consist of a 12-month base period and four 12-month option periods for renewal with an estimated maximum of 1440 sessions per contract period. The Contractor will normally work, Monday through Friday (except Federal holidays), normally between the hours of 7:00 am and 4:00 pm (with a 30-60 minute unpaid lunch). The facility is expected to require an average of 30 sessions per week. The contractor shall provide one (1) qualified clerk at the time of submission of their quote and be able to provide backup relief when necessary. The clerk must have a high school diploma or equivalent and one (1) year experience in a clinical or any medical facility requiring experience for communication and skill factors involving medical terminology, forms, reports, etc. The individual performing the services must be able to type, file, do basic math and work on a computer, along with the ability to read, understand, fluently speak, and legibly write English. Quoters must specifically identify the individual that will be performing these services under any subsequent contract award. The solicitation will be available on/about March 4, 2013, and will be distributed solely through this website. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The website provides downloading instructions to obtain all documents relating to this solicitation. All future information concerning this acquisition, including the solicitation and any subsequent amendments, will be distributed through the website. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the website to ensure they have the most up-to-date information about the acquisition. The date for receipt of quotations is on/about March 18, 2013; however, this is a projected estimate and quoters should refer to Page 1 of the solicitation (Block #8) for the actual date quotations are due. All contractors doing business with the Federal Government must be registered in the System for Award Management System (SAM) at www.sam.gov.Faith-Based and Community-Based Organizations can submit offers/bids/quotations equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. This solicitation is a total small business set-aside. All responsible small business concerns are encouraged to submit a quotation which may be considered.
