- Description
- The Chattahoochee-Oconee National Forests has a need for contractors to perform trail maintenance on OHV (Off Highway Vehicle) trails as required over the life of the contract. The ordered work may consist of trail restoration, drainage restoration, logging out, danger tree removal, obliteration of abandoned trailways, slough and berm removal, or other related work. All trails are located within the administrative boundaries of the Chattahoochee - Oconee National Forest. Each task order will list the specific trail and activity items. Two initial task requests will be included with the Request for Proposals. This solicitation will result in the award of multiple indefinite-delivery/ indefinite-quantity contracts with one base period and four option years that may be exercised at the discretion of the Government. The guaranteed minimum amount for each awarded contract, inclusive of the base and all option periods, will be $3,000. Each awarded contract shall not exceed $1,000,000 over the base period and four option years. Offerors will be evaluated on 1) demonstrated ability to perform trail maintenance activities that consistently achieve the specified performance standards, 2) experience in OHV trail maintenance activities for national forests or similar agencies in southeastern mountain and piedmont areas, and 3) past performance on similar contracts. OTHER INFORMATION: A pre-bid conference is scheduled tentatively for 10:00am April 4, 2013 at the Forest Supervisor's Office in Gainesville GA. Details will be in the solicitation.
