- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for a commercial supply item prepared in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12 as supplemented with additional information included in this announcement. The U.S. Department of Commerce (USDOC), National Oceanic Atmospheric and Administration (NOAA), National Weather Service (NWS) intends to solicit for purchase of the following AIRMUX parts, manufactured by RAD Data Communications: Qty 5: AIRMUX-400/IDUE/4TDM; Indoor unit enhanced Qty 5: AIRMUX-IDU/2TDM; Indoor unit with 2XT1 Qty 10: AIRMUX-200/ODU/F58; AIRMUX-200 Outdoor Unit (5.8GHz band) Qty 5: AIRMUX-CBL-UTP/100: AIRMUX-200 UTP Cable, 100 meter Qty 5: AIRMUX-CBL-UTP/50: AIRMUX-200 UTP Cable, 50 meter Qty 15: AIRMUX-PS-E-AC/US: A/C Power Adapter *Qty 2: AIRMUX-400L/ODU/F58F/EMB: Wireles Broadband Multiplexer *Added March 4, 2013 The supplies are to be shipped on a FOB Destination basis. The intended procurement is for supplies for which the Government intends to acquire under the guidelines of FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This is a small business set-aside. Firms interested in this requirement must submit demonstrated evidence of its capability and experience in providing the exact part as specified for the NWS. The NAICS code for this action is 334220. All contractors submitting quotes for this acquisition must be registered with the System for Award Management (SAM). No award can be made unless the vendor is registered with SAM. For more information and to register with SAM please access the following website https://www.sam.gov/portal/public/SAM/. All interested parties are required to sign and date the quotes before submitting to the U.S. Department of Commerce, NOAA/NWS, Attn: Jeffrey Paul, Rm 3176, 1325 East West Hwy, Silver Spring, MD, 20910.
