Description
Printer Make and Model The 56th Contracting Squadron (AETC) is seeking information concerning the availability of capable contractors to maintain 174 government-owned printer devices (136 black & white and 38 color printers) from 4 different manufacturers (Brother, Dell, Hewlett-Packard, and Lexmark), and 30 different models. See attached Appendix A. The purpose of posting this RFI is to locate interested businesses that are capable of providing the maintenance/service and supplies of this requirement as stated in the Schedule of Services/Supplies found below. This RFI shall not be construed as a formal solicitation or as an obligation on the part of the Government to acquire any products or services. Information provided to the Government as a result of this posting is strictly voluntary and given with no expectation of compensation, and clearly provided at no cost to the Government. A formal solicitation will be executed and posted separately at a future date. The Air Force is interested at this point, only in identifying interested and capable contractors for this service as part of the market research effort. The tentative solicitation issue date is to be determined. The Government will award one contract to a contractor that meets the responsibility factors in FAR 9.104-1 to satisfy this requirement. The contracting officer will endeavor to post all information regarding this solicitation as soon as it becomes available. Request responses be provided no later than 18 March 2013. The Government is under no obligation to consider information received after 18 March 2013 as part of the formal market research for this acquisition. The planned North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 811212 (Computer and Office Machine Repair and Maintenance) with the applicable small business size standard of $25.5 million. Please specify all applicable small business certifications or if a large business, please indicate so. Requirement: (Note: The description is a summary of the required services and is not intended to be all-inclusive). Schedule of Supplies/Service: 0001 Printer Maintenance/Repairs: The contractor shall maintain all printers in accordance with manufacturer's recommendations. All work shall be performed on Luke AFB, AZ premises unless specifically authorized in writing. The contractor is responsible for providing maintenance for all networked devices located in 6 different building. The contractor shall respond to on-site service calls with a qualified technician in a standard eight-business-hour repair (same-day or next business day), Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays. Except for devices determined to be unserviceable, the contractor shall make all minor repairs and shall replace all parts. All such repairs are performed at no additional cost to the government. All services shall conform to the generally accepted industry standards of quality. If contractor determines that a Managed Device is beyond repair and is classified as service discontinued, or parts or supplies are no longer commercially available, the contractor will notify Luke AFB, AZ to discontinue Service. 0002 Supplies: Contractor will furnish toner or ink (supplies) as applicable for all devices.
