Description

THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Eastern Colorado System at Sheridan Veterans Affairs Medical Center (SVAMC), located in Sheridan, Wyoming shall be contemplating a contract for Podiatry Services on the SVAMC facility, The VA Network Contracting Office (NCO) 19 shall compete this procurement as a Full and Open after Exclusion of Sources, in which, NCO19 is conducting market research to determine if there is a sufficient number of qualified (1) Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business; (2) Veteran Owned Small Business, the other socioeconomic concerns. The Government will use responses to this notice to make the appropriate acquisition decision. The proposed solicitation will be issued in accordance with FAR Parts 12 and 15. The contractor shall provide all aspects of podiatry services such as debridement of nails, calluses, ulcerations, and other skin lesions; Treatment with antibiotics for infection or ulcerations of the feet and lower leg; Diagnosis of gait abnormalities with prescribing of orthosis, functional and accommodative; and Injections of local anesthetics and steroids as necessary. The total contract period shall be one base year with one year option periods not to exceed four additional years. The total estimated contemplated contract amount shall not exceed $285,000.00. All interested vendors who can meet the requirements stated above should respond, in writing, with information describing their interest, capabilities, geographic location and indicate which small business category for which they qualify to the Contracting Officer shown above no later than 4:00 p.m. (Mountain Time), Friday, March 15, 2013. Solicitation VA259-13-R-0083 has been assigned and should be referenced on all correspondence regarding this announcement. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. Again, the Product Service Code is Q520 Medical Service/Podiatry; the NAICS Code is 621391 and the Size Standard $7.0 Mil. Interested contractors are reminded that in accordance with FAR 4.12, prospective contractors shall complete electronic annual representations and certifications in conjunction with FAR 4.11 required registration in the System Award Management (SAM) database prior to award of a contract.
