Description

The FAA has a requirement for vendors that are capable of performing software integration services, technical support and consulting services for the continuation of the design, development and implementation of the Federal Aviation Administration ™s (FAA) Unified Contracting System (UCS). The period of performance for the contract will be one base plus three option years. The FAA ™s current legacy procurement systems are based largely on paper-based manual processes, record-keeping and documents. Although some steps in the FAA ™s procurement processes are automated, a fully integrated and automated tool is not available to effectively support FAA procurements. The FAA ™s strategic vision for implementing UCS is to meet the future acquisitions and procurement demands for the design, development, integration and implementation of the new the Purchase Card Purchase System 2nd Generation (PCPS2), Electronic document management and storage (eDocS), as well as unified contracting modules including automated procurement processes pre-award, post-award for eFAST and Agency-wide; contract writing, statement of work generation, invoicing, requisition to obligation and rate engine. The implemented UCS modules will enable the FAA to effectively and efficiently meet the FAA ™s demanding procurement needs.
