Description
AMENDMENT TWO: The purpose of this amendment is to extend the closing date from 07 March 2013 to 08 March 2013. The closing time will remain at 4:00 P.M. Eastern Standard Time (EST). A revised Performance Work Statement will be uploaded. Please ensure to revise quotes based on the revised PWS posted with this amendment (amendment 2). AMENDMENT ONE: The purpose of this amendment is to extend the closing date from 04 March 2013 to 07 March 2013 by 4:00 P.M. Eastern Standard Time (EST). This amendment is also to add the following language: quote mark Contractor personnel are required to be sufficiently trained and experienced to service all equipment items under the scope of this contract. A minimum of two years' experience in doing similar work is required. Personnel should be qualified to diagnose problems and effect necessary repairs as equivalent to that of OEM service personnel. Personnel shall be expected to have working knowledge of commercial off the shelf equipment (COTS) and Microsoft Office to be able to effectively communicate with hardware and diagnose/solve problems. Upon request, the Contractor shall provide resumes, copies of relevant training certificates for the previous five years of all individuals who are to perform maintenance/repairs under this contract. The Contractor shall furnish written verification of training for items noted for which training certificates are not supplied. Also upon request the Contractor shall provide written verification of training qualifications for any replacement personnel to the COR prior to those replacement personnel performing any work in conjunction with this contract. Trainees are allowed to observe work being performed by experienced personnel, but the Contractor thereof assumes all associated costs. Contractor personnel may need to have Administrative privileges to perform certain tasks and in that regard may need to have necessary Information Assurance (IA) training to qualify as Administrators. The Contractor shall ensure that it/its staff can service equipment items where the OEM requires specific training in order to obtain spare parts. Certain equipment manufacturers require third party maintenance provider staff to be trained by the OEM in order to qualify to obtain replacement parts. It is the responsibility of the Contractor, not the Government, to provide its staff with this training if applicable. quote mark Furthermore, this action is considered to be brand-name or equal to Dell. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The combined synopsis/ solicitation number is W91ZLK-13-T-0075. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-65. This requirement is a for full and open competition. The associated North America Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 811219 and the Business Size Standard is $25.0M. The Government contemplates award of a Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) Purchase Order. In accordance with the specifications, using Federal Acquisition Regulation FAR PART 13.5, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. NOTES to Offerors: Offers shall note the lead time or approximate delivery date for items offered.***************** Acceptance shall be at destination. Service for Preventative Maintenance located at: Aberdeen Test Center (ATC) 400 Colleran Road, Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG), MD 21005 1)Description of the Requirement: This is non-personal service action to provide maintenance and repair service for server hardware that is no longer covered under original warranty provided at date of purchase. The Government shall not exercise any supervision or control over the contract service provider performing services herein. The Contractor shall provide the necessary personnel to perform onsite maintenance during the period of performance. This maintenance contract shall include labor, parts, travel and transportation. The contractor shall provide manufacturer-trained service, delivery and management personnel to ensure the productive use of the equipment. The contractor shall provide personnel certified in trouble shooting and maintenance. Please see the attached Performance Work Statement (PWS) for further details on the required services. Quotes will be evaluated on Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA). The Government reserves the right to make an award without discussions (FAR 15.209(a)). No partial orders shall be accepted. The Government is not responsible for locating or securing any information which is not identified in the offer. The Government reserves the right to make an award without discussions.
