Description

Notice of Intent to Sole Source CPT Codes License Agreement Solicitation Number: VA701-13-I-0098 The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Program Contract Activity Central (PCAC) intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(2), "Only One Responsible Source Available, no other source will satisfy agency requirements." The VA intends to solicit and negotiate with the American Medical Association to provide a license agreement for the use of the Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) data in the VHA software titled Veterans Health Information Systems and Technology Architecture (VISTA). This license is not available through any other business for use with the VSITA software. The NAICS code for this procurement is 511120 and the Small Business Administration Size Standard is 500 employees. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be accepted. However, any responsible source who believes it is capable of meeting the requirement may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency, only if received by the closing date and time of this notice. A determination not to compete the proposed requirement based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.
