Description: THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION ANNOUNCEMENT. THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT Notice Only. This Sources Sought Notice is intended for the following Socio-economic group ONLY: Service-Disabled Veteran Owned, Veteran-Owned Business, HubZone, Woman- Owned and Small Business. This Sources Sought Notice (SS) is for information and planning purposes only at this time; and shall not be considered as a solicitation or as an obligation on the part of the Department of Veterans Affairs. Because this is a sources sought announcement, no evaluation letters and/or results will be issued to the respondents. No solicitation exists. Therefore, do not request a copy of the solicitation. Responses from other than the above mentioned groups will not be considered. The Department of Veterans Affairs Service Area Office East/Network Contracting Office 8, San Juan PR Team, is conducting market research to identify potential sources with the intention to purchase a Green Back Pack Cable M-4800 for our CARTO 3 Electro anatomical Mapping System, a necessary part for the diagnose and treat disturbances of the heart rhythm. The potential source shall provide all tests and installation for this specialized cable. The requested component the Green Back Pack Cable is a cable that connects two essential components of the CARTO 3 System: a patch on the patient's chest and the CARTO 3 operating console and is an essential part for this system to be operational. This system allows the physician to obtain a map or structures and electrical circuits inside o the heart to be able to more effectively and safely diagnose and treat diseases of heart rhythm. The CARTO 3 Electro-anatomical Mapping System is located at the VA Caribbean Healthcare System at San Juan, Puerto Rico. The potential source shall obtain all necessary licenses and/or required trainings to perform the work for the VA Caribbean Healthcare System (VACHS) located in San Juan, PR. Responses to this notice should include company name, address, point of contact, phone number, fax number and point of contact e-mail, and DUNS Number. The delivery date is established five (5) days upon receipt of the purchase order. NAICS Code 811219. This procurement will be conducted in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Parts 13. Telephone/mail responses will not be accepted. Responses must be received in writing no later than, 1400/02:00PM ATLANTIC STANDARD TIME (AST)by March 11, 2013. This notice will help the VA in determining available potential sources only. Do not contact VA Medical Center staff in regards to this requirement, as they are not authorized to discuss this matters related to this procurement action, direct all questions to the Contract Specialist by or before March 08, 2013 no later than, 1100a.m ATLANTIC STANDARD TIME (AST). All firms responding to this Sources Sought Notice are advised that their response is not a request for proposal therefore will not be considered for a contract award. If a solicitation is issued, information will be posted on the FedBizOpps web site for all qualified interested parties at a later date, and interested parties must respond to the solicitation to be considered for award. This notice does not commit the government to contract for any service. The government will not pay for any information or administrative cost incurred in response to this source sought notice.
