- Description
- Background Ducks Unlimited (DU) will assist the California Department of Fish and Wildlife (DFW) and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) in the review of the construction documents for the Napa Salt Marsh Restoration Project, Ponds 6, 6A, 7 & 7A (Project) and act as a technical advisor within the construction management team. DU's staff will bring a background of habitat development experience from working on similar projects in the Napa-Sonoma Marshes Wildlife Area Summary of Work Under this contract, DU shall review the final plans & specifications and serve as a construction management technical advisor for the Napa Salt Marsh Restoration Project (NSMRP). The final plans & specifications were prepared by the URS Corporation (URS), under contract with non federal sponsor (NFS), have been reviewed by the Corps of Engineer District Quality Control (DQC) team, a Value Engineering (VE) study team with a number of recommendations presented, and an Agency Technical Review (ATR) team. Single-Source Determination: Authority Cited: FAR 6.302-1 (a)(2)(iii). JUSTIFICATION: Ducks Unlimited, Inc. has been closely involved with the NSMRP for over 10 years, and is intimately familiar with the project, NFS, regulatory requirements, construction conditions, and related parameters that contribute to the effective execution and success of the project. DU's staff will bring a background of habitat development experience from working on similar projects in the Napa-Sonoma Marshes Wildlife Area
