- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT FOR INFORMATION ONLY. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR PROPOSALS AND NO CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED FROM THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. The Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center in Houston, Texas is performing market research to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification (service disabled veteran owned small business, veteran owned small business, hub zone, 8(a), small disadvantage business, woman-owned, small business, or large business) relative to NACIS 238290 (size standard $14 Millions) for the Pharmacy High Density Storage and Picking System. BOXPICKER HIGH DENSITY STORAGE & PICKING SYSTEM (REDUCED HIGHT)-7'9" HIGH. THE SYSTEM CONSISTS OF 6 MODULES WITH STORAGE FOR 168 BINS PER MODULE MINUS 44 BINS PER OPERATOR STATION. THE SYSTEM INCLUDES 3 OPERATOR PICK STATIONS (INCLUDING 3 INTEGRATED PC'S 3 MANUAL-PICK LABLE PRINTERS, AND 3 BARCODE SCANNERS), 1 SET OF BACK PANELS FOR EACH MODULE, 1 ROBOTIC PICKING MODULE COMPLETE WITH RAIL AND BI-DIRECTIONAL STACKER, 876 STANDARD STORAGE BINS, 24 HIGH CAPACITY DRAWERS AND 4 ROLLS OF MANUAL-PICK LABELS. Interested companies should submit an email to stephanie.keo@va.gov. Firms should provide their business size status in accordance with the small business administration website (www.sba.gov) for the above referenced NAICS code they fall within (i.e. small businesses, 8(a) firms, HUBZones, small disabled veteran owned businesses, etc.). All responses must be received in writing no later than 10:00 AM CST on March 11, 2013. Fax or telephone responses will not be accepted. This notice is to help the VA medical center in determining potential sources only. No solicitation is currently available. All firms responding to this request for information notice are advised that their response to this notice is not a request to be considered for a contract award or to be added to prospective bidders list to receive a copy of the solicitation.
