Description
The purpose of the amendment is to correct synopsis. SYNOPSIS DESCRIPTION: The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Panama City, Division intends to award on a sole source basis a firm fixed price Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity Commercial Contract to Aerospace Optics, Inc (dba Vivisun), 3201 Sandy Lane, Fort Worth, TX 76112 for the manufacture of up to four hundred and twenty eight (428) Programmable Multi-Function Push-Button, P/N 5000-P-5551 PMP, up to one hundred and eighteen (118) Refresh Processing Unit, P/N 5000-R-5520 RS422 RPU and up to four hundred and twenty eight (428) Cable-up, P/N 5000-C-1118. This purchase is not suitable for full and open completion for the following reasons. The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) has previously conducted an extensive qualification program for manufacturers of LCAC C4N components and has determined that it is necessary to purchase the same components for all System Baseline Configuration (SBC) 3 SLEP craft to reduce the impacts to logistics and the Fleet ™s mission during wartime efforts. This qualification program involved formal testing to ensure one-hundred percent (100%) compatibility with the LCAC C4N systems. Only these items, provided by Aerospace Optics Inc. have been approved for LCAC C4N use. No substitutes will be accepted. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determinate by the Government not to compete this proposed contract base upon responses to this notice is solely with in the discretion of the Government. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement by email to the contract specialist. Delivery will be to the Naval Support Activity Panama City, Receiving Officer Building 100, 101 Vernon Avenue, Panama City, FL 32407-7001. The resultant award will be a firm fixed price contract. The NAICS code is 335931 and the FSC is 2090. Anticipated award date will be on or about 10 April 2013, small business size standard is 500 employees.
