- SOURCES SOUGHT: THIS NOTICE IS MARKET RESEARCH TO SUPPORT INCLUSION OF SOLE SOURCE (BRAND NAME) SPECIFICATIONS IN VARIOUS MILCON PROJECTS FOR THE US ARMY ENGINEER DISTRICT, ALASKA, AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. The U.S. Army Engineer District, Alaska intends to specify the below listed item as parts of larger construction contracts to be executed on various military installations throughout Alaska. Item: Best Lock Cores. To maximize consistency, compatibility, economy, and sustainability, Alaska military installations only use the master keying system provided by the BEST Universal Lock Co. " Best" brand 7-Pin Inter-Changeable (IC) cores are required to maintain one master keying system for the installation. Interested suppliers/manufacturers must certify that any item offered in response to this notice is Buy American Act Compliant. Responses must include the following information: (1) Fully detailed specification sheets. (2) Identification of the manufacturer's name, address, and country of manufacture. (3) Narrative addressing how alternate product to the one described herein is a fully comparable substitute. Please send responses to U. S.
