The contract will consist of a base year and two option years. The total estimated price of the proposed action is $24M. PDSS - is the sum of all activities required to ensure that, during the production/deployment phase of a mission critical computer system's life cycle, the implemented and fielded software/system continues to support its original operational mission and subsequent mission modifications mandated by Department of Defense/Department of Army (DOD/DA) and product improvement efforts. PDSS generally consists of software maintenance to correct defects in existing software, changes to DOD/DA policies and regulations, and hardware upgrades, testing of the software to ensure performance meets the requirements of the changed processes and that processes that were not changed still function as before, and documentation is updated in accordance with the change. This includes providing both functional and technical support both telephonically and at user sites; providing training for software and/or hardware changes and installation of systems at new locations when tasked. The Standard Army Ammunition System - Modernization (SAAS-MOD) is a STAMIS which requires support. This contract will be competitively awarded to a small-business following the procedures of FAR 19.5, Set-Asides for Small Business, and FAR 15, Contracting by Negotiation.
