Description
Draft PWS Industry Day Directions INDUSTRY DAY NOTIFICATION FROM: Contracting Directorate Air Force Sustainment Center (AFMC) 6038 Aspen Ave, Bldg. 1289 Hill Air Force Base, UT 84056-5805 SUBJECT: Industry Day for Maintenance, Engineering, Repair, Upgrades & Training Services on Testek/AAI Test Stands WHEN: 1 April 2013, 0800-1600 hours WHERE: Sullivan Conference Room 5851 F. Avenue, Bldg. 849 Hill Air Force Base, UT 84056-5713 POC: Cindy Chartier, cindy.chartier@hill.af.mil, (801) 586-6638 BACKGROUND: Testek/AAI Test Stands are utilized to test various valves, gear boxes, fuel controls, starters, electronic components, circuit cards, actuators and generators throughout the Maintenance Complex at Hill Air Force Base, UT. Maintenance and repairs are required to keep the test stands functioning correctly. Current Testek/AAI Test Stands have proprietary data that does not give the Maintenance Complex the ability to perform all required maintenance, engineering services and repairs. PURPOSE: We are conducting a fact-finding, industry day to gather vendor information and capabilities on maintenance, engineering, repair, upgrades and training services available for Testek/AAI Test Stands. It also provides potential vendors with a scope of our requirement. All information presented to the Government in one-on-one meetings may be kept for official use only (FOUO). All information gathered during industry day is for planning purposes only, it does not constitute an Invitation for Bids (IFB), a Request for Quote (RFQ), or a Request for Proposal (RFP). It should not be construed as a commitment of any kind by the Government to issue a formal solicitation or ultimately award a contract in connection with this industry day. The government will not reimburse attendees for any costs associated with the industry day. 1 April 2013 - Industry Day Schedule: 0800 - 0815: Vendor and Government attendee sign-in 0815 - 0820: Welcome Remarks 0820 - 0825: Rules of Engagement 0825 - 0900: Informational & Technical Briefing 0900 - 1030: Facilities & Test Stand Tour 1030 - 1145: Break for Lunch 1200 - 1600: Individual Vendor One-On-One Meetings The following is a list of suggested questions to be discussed at the One-On-One Meetings (this list of questions is not all inclusive). 1. Provide Company Name and Point of Contact (POC) information. 2. Offer acquisition suggestions examples for contract type and pricing structure. 3. Specify experience/capabilities with Testek/AAI Test Stands involving: a. Hardware Maintenance b. Software Maintenance c. Engineering Services d. Upgrades e. Part Acquisition f. Training Capabilities 4. Illustrate your company's capabilities in minimizing test stand down-time and maximizing test stand repair times. Prior to the morning briefing, vendors will sign in, a sign-up sheet will be posted for vendors who wish to schedule one-on-one meetings with the Government procurement team. These meetings are anticipated to be one hour discussions between vendors and the Government. Vendors whom do not wish to meet one-on-one may submit written questions electronically to the POC no later than COB April 5, 2013. All questions and answers will not be considered private and will be available upon request to the contracting officer(s). Capacity at our facility is limited; therefore, each vendor is limited to not more than three (3) Industry Day attendees. Scheduling one-on-one meetings will be handled on a first-come, first-serve basis. Every attempt will be made to equally accommodate all vendors. Please send all Industry Day attendance RSVP's, One-On-One Meeting requests, or any questions to Cindy Chartier at cindy.chartier@hill.af.mil.
