- This is a presolicitation. The US Army, Regional Contracting Bavaria intends to rent a vehicle fleet consisting of the CLINs below. This will be a firm fixed price contract. No response is required, however if your firm is interested in providing this service, please submit notice of interest to the POC listed in this pre-solicitation. Description of service: Short-term vehicle rental, diesel fuel, standard transmission to include unlimited mileage, full insurance coverage (inc. Euro 500) self-retainment, all maintenance, delivery, and removal of vehicles. (CLIN#1) - Rental period: 28 March - 02 May 2013 (Two (2) Cargo Vans; Rental period: 11 April - 01 May (Seventeen (17) Cargo Vans): vendor shall delivers vehicles to gate #3 Main Post Grafenw hr. Vendor picks-up vehicles on: 02 May 2013 at 1300 hrs at Gate #3. (CLIN#2) - Rental period: 28 March - 02 May 2013 (five (5) 9-person passenger vans); Rental Period: 11 April - 01 May (Twenty six (26) 9-person passenger vans), vendor delivers vehicles to gate #3 Main Post Grafenw hr. Vendor picks-up vehicles on: 02 May 2013 at 1300 hrs at Gate #3. (CLIN#3) - Rental period: 11 April - 01 May 2013 (Two (2) 6-passenger vans), diesel fuel, standard transmission to include unlimited mileage, tinted windows, reverse seats, NO LOGOs, NAV system,full insurance coverage (inc. Euro 500) self-retainment, all maintenance, delivery, and removal of vehicles. vendor delivers vehicles to gate #3 Main Post Grafenw hr. Vendor picks-up vehicles on: 01 May 2013 at 1300 hrs at Gate #3. a.Delivery to the US Government - the government representative and the contractor representative will individually inspect each vehicle provided under this contract for any defects or damages. The condition of the vehicle will be noted on a Delivery Inspection Sheet. The contract telephone number and the vehicle license plate number must be shown on the inspection sheet. The agreed upon condition of the vehicle will be signed off on the form by both of the representatives. b.Return to the contractor - the government representative and the contractor representative will individually inspect each vehicle upon return to the contractor. The condition of the vehicle will be compared to its initial condition as indicated on the original Delivery Inspection Form used to initially inspect the vehicle. Excluding normal wear from the usage of the vehicle as intended under the contract, if there is no damage it will be noted on the original Delivery Inspection Sheet and signed by both representatives. If there are damages to the vehicle it will be noted on the original Delivery Inspection Sheet and the contractor will indicate if it intends to file a claim under the contract for damage. If the contractor accepts a return vehicle without an inspection or sign the original Delivery Inspection Sheet without indicating any damage to the vehicle the contractor automatically agrees that the vehicle was returned in the same condition that it was delivered in and will release the government from any liability for the vehicle.
