- The Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division located in W. Bethesda, MD (NSWCCD) intends to solicit for Grade HY-80 Steel Forgings (10 ea) MIL-S-23009 IC1. The solicitation number for this procurement is N0016713T0024 and will be released on or before 19 March 2013. This solicitation is 100% set aside for small businesses. The applicable NAICS code for this requirement is 332813 and the business size standard is 500 employees. The NSWCCD intends to negotiate a competitive procurement using Simplified Acquisition Procedures in accordance with FAR Part 12 and award a firm fixed-price purchase order. The basis for award will be Technically Acceptable/Lowest price technique with acceptable past performance. The Government will award a purchase order resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose proposal conforms to the solicitation requirements. The Government reserves the right to award a purchase order to other than the low offeror. The closing date and time for submission of offers will be contained in the solicitation package. The solicitation will be made available electronically via the Federal Business Opportunities website (http://www.fbo.gov) and the Navy Electronic Commerce website (www.neco.navy.mil). A hard copy of the solicitation will NOT be made available.
