SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE FOR Essentris Intensive Care Unit Clinical Information (ICU CIS) System Maintenance and Technical Support THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) ONLY. This is not a Request for Quote (RFQ) or Request for Proposal (RFP). This announcement is for information and planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, implied or otherwise, to issue a solicitation or award a contract, nor does the Government intend to pay for any information submitted as a result of this request. The Government does not reimburse respondents for any costs associated with submission of the information being requested or, reimburse expenses incurred for responses to this RFI. Companies are encouraged to respond if they have the capability and/or capacity to provide the services identified below. Respondents should identify their company name, address, email, telephone number and a name and telephone number of a point of contact having the authority and knowledge to clarify responses with government representatives. It is requested that all companies interested in participating in this effort please note their interest by providing a capabilities statement for the services indicated below. Also, please indicate in your response if you are an authorized reseller of these services. The FBO set-aside is not applicable. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Office of Acquisition Operations (OAO) Technology Acquisition Center (TAC) is conducting market research for businesses capable of providing software maintenance/support, hardware and technical support of the CliniComp International Essentris Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Clinical Information Systems (CIS) currently installed in the Dallas, TX Temple, TX and San Antonio, TX VA Medical Centers (VAMC) located in Veterans Integrated Service Network 17. The current ICU CIS, Essentris Critical Care Model # ESS-CC, is interoperable with, and has connectivity to and from VistA test and VistA production environments at each medical center. The current ICU CIS is able to communicate with VistA by using the Document Storage Solution (DSS) VistA Interface called the DataBridge. In addition, CliniComp communicates with the RGI Solution Analytics application by sending RGI Solution Analytics data extracts daily. CliniComp also has communication with various medical devices including Draeger Physiological monitors and telemetry, Nihon Kohden Physiological Monitors, General Electric physiological monitors and telemetry, Puritan-Bennett 840 Ventilators, Arrow AutoCat2 Intra-aortic Balloon Pumps (IABP) and DataScope CS300 IABPs. CliniComp currently captures data from these devices for use in Essentris. To make an appropriate acquisition decision for this requirement, the Government will use responses to this sources sought synopsis. The type of solicitation issued and the manner of advertisement will also depend on the response to this Sources Sought synopsis.
