- Description
- The Bureau of Reclamation is seeking sources with the capability to perform the following: modified double steam seals to fit five (5) penstock coaster gates; hollow bulb J-seal to fit seventeen (17) draft tube bulkhead gates; and rental of field splicing equipment capable of splicing the coaster gate seals in the field by means of vulcanization. Work includes fabrication of the seals, any required tooling, and transportation to the site. Weekly rental includes shipping costs, splicing press, splice mold and any special tools and extra material required to complete adequate splices. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this requirement is 339991. The applicable size standard for NAICS code 339991 is 500 employees. The Government is interested in qualified small businesses including, 8(a) Small Business, Historically Underutilized Business Zone Small Business, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business and Women Owned Small Business concerns that may be interested in performing. Based upon response to this announcement, the Government may determine to set this acquisition aside or proceed with an unrestricted solicitation. This notice is not a request for proposals and the information presented in this announcement will not obligate the Bureau of Reclamation in any manner. Interested parties should include the following information in their response: (a) Business name, address, cage code, size classification based on NAICS size standard, socioeconomic classification (i.e. HUBZone and/or 8(a)), and a point of contact; (b) A positive statement of your intention to submit an offer for this solicitation as a prime contractor; (c) Evidence of your experience performing work similar in type and scope to the work in this announcement within the last five years. The evidence should include: contract numbers, project titles, dollar amounts and points of contacts with telephone numbers. Please do not include more than three past projects; and (d) Include attachments cataloging the company's equipment assets, personnel resources and financial resources that demonstrate company responsibility and capability to perform required work. All interested parties are encouraged to respond to this notice, by e-mail to casmith@usbr.gov not later than the close of business on March 25, 2013.
