- The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Western Service Area has a requirement to modernize the elevator controller, drive motor, and other related devices at the Los Angeles, ATCT. Work includes but is not limited to furnishing and installing one elevator controller, AC drive motor, landing system, door operator, rope gripper, car operating panel and other related devices in accordance with the project specifications. The contractor is required to commence work under this contract on September 30, 2013 at 7:00 AM PST, prosecute the work diligently, and complete the entire work and ready for use no later than October 18, 2013 at 4:00 PM PST Interested vendors are advised of the following: (a)This is not a Screening Information Request for Proposals of any kind; (b)The FAA is not seeking or accepting unsolicited proposals; (c)The FAA will not pay for any information received or costs incurred in preparing the response to the market survey; and (d)Any costs associated with this market survey submittal is solely at the interested vendor ™s expense The Government intends to award a firm-fixed price contract to the low priced technically acceptable offer. Anticipated Dollar Range: Between $250,000 and $500,000 The acquisition strategy for this procurement has not been determined at this time; however, either an unrestricted competition or set-aside will be chosen depending on the responses to this market survey. In order to make this determination and be considered responsive, interested offerors must complete and submit the attached Business Declaration Form to elsa.gonzalez@faa.gov by 2:30 PM PDT on Tuesday, March 26, 2013: T3.6.1 “ Small Business Development Program (Revision 21, October 2007) Small Business Development 5: DOT Lending Program This notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, has a program to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and controlled by a socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $750,000.
