Description
The purpose of this announcement is to make notification of an Army Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Industry Day being hosted by the Project Manager, Army Enterprise Systems Integration Program (PM AESIP) and Project Manager General Fund Enterprise Business System (PM GFEBS). All parties interested in attending the Industry Day must contact the Army Contracting Command-Rock Island with the name of your firm, the names of individual personnel attending and direct email address of the attendees by 1 April 2013 to jessica.r.dobbeleare.civ@mail.mil. A response from the Government will act as your registration confirmation. The Program Executive Office Enterprise Information Systems (PEO EIS) is a world-class provider of IT solutions connecting people and information management systems to the Army. The PEO ensures that these programs maximize value to soldiers by balancing cost with the capability. Under PEO EIS, PM AESIP is responsible for Global Combat Support System-Army (GCSS-Army), AESIP Products and Services, Logistics Modernization Program (LMP), and Automated Movement and Identification Systems (AMIS). Together these systems provide tactical and national level logistics to the Army. PM GFEBS is responsible for the Army's financial, asset and accounting management system as well as the Army Contract Writing System. In an effort to further the Government's market research and to share information with Industry an Industry Day is being held on 5 April 2013 at the Fort Belvoir Wood Theatre, 6050 Abbott Road, (Bldg 2120), Fort Belvoir, VA. An opportunity exists for industry to assist the Army by bringing innovation to the delivery of ERP services. The Government's strategy for the transition of future sustainment and development of Army ERP capabilities is intended to have the following key characteristics: Provide analysis, design, development, deployment, fielding, operations, and sustainment services to support PM AESIP and PM GFEBS SAP ERP programs Enable further maturation of the Army SSC by augmenting the workforce and providing specialized skills Incorporate Department of Defense (DoD) Better Buying Power initiatives, maximize competition, utilize small business, and include meaningful incentives/disincentives Be based on industry trends and best practices for ERP support services Provide services of equal or better quality than current services, at or below current cost Include a flexible, long-term contractual mechanism with fast, simple ordering procedures that can procure ERP services A Request for Information (RFI) was published for this acquisition via FedBizOpps on 20 February 2013; it closed 11 March 2013.
