Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs Ann Arbor Healthcare System (VAAAHS), 2215 Fuller Road, Ann Arbor, Michigan, 48105 is hereby soliciting offers to provide an automated Discrete Hematoxylin and Eosin (H&E) slide preparation system that performs the de-paraffinization, staining of tissue with H&E, and automatically cover-slips with glass histology slides, on a cost per test/slide basis inclusive of maintenance and reagent costs. The VAAAHS anticipates entering into a fixed price contract with the contractor meeting the Brand Name or Equal requirements and providing the best value to the Government. Contract award will be made on the basis of Brand Name or Equal, best value to the Government with non-price related factors being more important than price related factors. This procurement will be conducted using Part 12 of the FAR. NAICS Code is 532490, size standard is $7.0 Million. The anticipated issue date is 3/13/2013; the anticipated closing date is 3/22/2013.
