Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs Mid Atlantic Health Care Network (VISN 6) intends to negotiate a Sole Source commercial item services contract. The requirement is for the automatic door maintenance and emergency repairs of the Stanley automatic doors at the Richmond VA Medical Center, 1201 Broad Rock Blvd., Richmond, VA 23249. Maintenance includes comprehensive parts and labor, annual planned maintenance, inspection on all automatic doors and components, replacement of parts, and providing 24/7 emergency service. All offerors must be authorized Stanley Door technicians, authorized Stanley Door Distributors, and provide certified technicians for installation, technical and repair services of all Stanley Automatic Doors equipment and components. The proposed contract action is for services which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. This is a notice of intent to award a sole source procurement action and is not a request for competitive proposals. However, interested parties may submit a capability statement that that demonstrates their firm's ability to provide the services described above. Interested parties must provide rationale as to why they should be considered and identify their interest and capability to this response no later than March 18, 2013, 12pm, EST. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
