Description
PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE: PROJECT TITLE: REMOVAL AND DISPOSAL OF EXISTING FLOORING; PROVIDE AND INSTALL NEW WOOD-LOOK PORCELAIN TILE TO INCLUDE NEW THRESHOLDS; EXTERIOR DOOR SEAL KIT INSTALLATION The project work site is located at the U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) Training Center (TRACEN), 1 Munro Avenue, Building #279, Cape May, New Jersey (Cape May county). In general the project work includes but may not be limited to the following: Removal of thresholds and transitions for (2ea) double metal/glass doors, (2ea) single doors, and (2ea) transitional thresholds and associated hardware for floor installation; Replacement of the main entrance double door threshold. Replacement of the north facing exterior double door threshold and installation of weather proofing seal kit. Installation of three transitional thresholds; Installation of new stainless steel drip edging above exterior doors; All necessary repairs to adjacent walls and floors; Removal and re-installation of all interferences, including but not limited to tables, chairs, pool tables (2 ea), shuffle board, and bar equipment (sink, two coolers, two keg coolers, etc). Bar equipment can remain behind the bar and moved to the side for the tile installation to be completed in sections; Removal and proper disposal of approximately 1500 square feet of 2-foot by 2-foot carpet squares and monolithic matrix system; Removal and proper disposal of approx 160 square feet of linoleum currently installed behind bar, including bar kick plate (33lf by 8in); Provide and install wood-grained, maximum slip-resistance porcelain tile resembling hardwood or equal product. The tile will be applied to the concrete subfloor using the tile manufacturer's recommended thin-set or equivalent product. The grout used will be in accordance with tile manufacturer's recommendations as well as the width of the grout line and color of the grout must match the tile color. Including the bar kick-plate (33lf by 8in). The contractor may recommend equal products only after submission of the required material submittals and approval from the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR); Provide all supervision, materials, equipment, transportation, labor and all other incidentals necessary to complete the work; Mobilization, demobilization and clean up. Period of Performance shall be 60 days after issuance of Notice to Proceed. All work shall be performed in accordance with the USCG specifications, drawings, provisions, clauses and the terms and conditions which will be provided when all Request for Quote (RFQ) solicitation document files become available for public download on or after 15 MARCH 2013 exclusively from the internet by accessing the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website at: http://www.fbo.gov. If solicitation files do not appear on that date, please check back daily. The date set for receipt of offers is approximately 16 APRIL 2013. These dates are estimated and may change. NOTE: NO TELEPHONE, FACSIMILE, E-MAIL AND/OR WRITTEN REQUESTS FOR SOLICITATIONS OR POSTING STATUS SHALL BE ACCEPTED. Our office no longer issues solicitations or amendments in paper form.
