Description
STATEMENT OF WORK Description/Specifications Contractor shall furnish all labor, supplies, materials, equipment, supervision and transportation necessary to provide armored car transportation service for the Department of Veterans Affairs, 1VA Center, Augusta, Maine 04330. Required Services "Make scheduled cash deliveries to the VA facility. Money will be picked up at a vault service location, not the bank as is required by Key Bank. "Make scheduled pick-ups of deposits at the facility and transporting deposits to the bank location indicated by the VA facility. "If the facility has a specific need as a special pick-up, it will be identified as a call order. "Delivering money ordered from Key Bank and delivering it to the VA Maine Health Care System (aka Togus) "Pick-up and delivery log procedures will be established upon contract award. All work is to be performed in accordance with the regulations, codes, and laws established by local, state and federal agencies. Drivers and/or Attendants "There shall be two employees making pick-ups and deliveries at all times. The drivers and/or attendants are required to wear identification (I.D.) badges during the entire time they are on VAMC grounds. I.D. badges must have an identification picture, name of the individual and the represented company depicted on it. A photograph shall be submitted to the participating services of the driver and/or attendants, which shall be posted at delivery points. "A resume of each employee shall be submitted with the proposal. Employees shall be able to communicate with personnel with tact and courtesy. Employees shall be technically proficient in the skills necessary to fulfill the government's requirements, to include the ability to speak, understand, read and write English fluently. "All drivers and attendants shall be 21 years old and shall maintain neat, clean and professional appearance. Drivers shall be licensed in accordance with the state of Maine. A copy of the drivers and/or attendants license shall be furnished to the contracting officer before performance of contract begins. "Any certificates of training or education the driver and/or attendant have had which pertains to this type of service shall be furnished to the contracting officer. "The contractor shall provide the contracting officer with a copy of the background investigation done on all drivers and/or attendants who shall be performing under this contract. Vehicles "Vehicles used in the performance of this contract shall be registered and inspected to meet all minimum vehicle requirements as mandated by the state of Maine. Insurance "Contractor must provide proof of liability insurance, workers compensation and vehicle insurance before contract performance begins. Armored Delivery "Although VA policy does not allow weapons (handguns, etc.) on campus, armored car service is considered an exception as designated by the VA police department. Industry standard practice requires that armored car service personnel be armed while on duty Pick-up and Delivery "Agent Cahsier Office : Armored car service pick-up consisting of cash and checks and delivery of cash up to five (5) times per week, Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays, between 8:30 am and 3:00 pm. Contractor shall make pick-ups at the Agent Cashier Office, Building 200, Room E304. Pick-ups shall be delivered to Key Bank, 23 Whitten Rd, Augusta, ME daily. "Canteen Service: Armored car service pick-up consisting of cash and checks, and delivery of change, to five (5) times per week, Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays, between 8:30 am and 3:00 pm. Contractor shall make pick-ups at the Canteen Service, Building 204, Room 114. Pick-ups shall be delivered to Bank of America, 110 Main St, Brunswick, ME daily.
