- Synopsis: The Architect of the Capitol (AOC) anticipates issuing a Request for Proposal for professional Architectural/Engineering Services under Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Multiple Award Contracts. The comprehensive scope of the A/E Services shall include Architectural Design ; Interior Design; Civil Engineering; Structural Engineering; Landscape Architecture; Historic Preservation; Mechanical Engineering; Plumbing Engineering; Fountain and Water Display Design; Electrical Engineering; Electronic Engineering ; Acoustical, Audio Visual Engineering; Elevator Engineering; Roofing and Waterproofing Design; Food Service Design; Sustainable Design; Commissioning; Fire Protection ; Environmental Compliance; Security; Cost Estimating; Building Information Modeling (BIM); Geospatial Services and CAD Services. Details on the required services will be provided in individual work orders. The awarded contract base services will include Professional A/E Services with the period of performance for base services at 365 days from contract award. Each Option period will be as follows: Option Period 1: October 1, 2015 through September 30, 2016 Option Period 2: October 1, 2016 through September 30, 2017 Option Period 3: October 1, 2017 through September 30, 2018 Option Period 4: October 1, 2018 through September 30, 2019 The optional IDIQ may be exercised at any time prior to the expiration of the base services and will include four option years. The cumulative amount of all task orders issued against the IDIQ shall not exceed $10,000,000. The AOC is a legislative branch entity and as such is NOT subject to the Brooks A-E Act as implemented in Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 36.6. The AOC will use Best-Value Trade-Off process. This RFP, and any subsequent amendments, will be issued in electronic format only and will be available on or about April 30, 2013 on Federal Business Opportunities (www.fbo.gov). Please be advised the date for solicitation posting is estimated and the actual posting date may be after the estimated date. The anticipated award date is December 31, 2013. INDUSTRY DAY ANNOUNCEMENT: An Industry Day is scheduled for Friday, April 12, at 2 pm - 4pm. at the Capitol Visitors Center in the Congressional Meeting Room North. This event is designed to bring together AOC's leadership with professionals throughout the A/E & E/A industry that have interest in performing our design requirements. The goal is to provide insights to AOC's acquisition process and facilitate networking and communication between companies interested in doing business with the AOC and key AOC officials.
