Description
XRF Sources Sought INTRODUCTION This is a Small Business Sources Sought notice. This is NOT a solicitation for proposals, proposal abstracts, or quotations. The purpose of this notice is to obtain information regarding: (1) the availability and capability of qualified small business sources; (2) whether they are small businesses; HUBZone small businesses; service-disabled, veteran-owned small businesses; 8(a) small businesses; veteran-owned small businesses; woman-owned small businesses; or small disadvantaged businesses; and (3) their size classification relative to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for the proposed acquisition. Your responses to the information requested will assist the Government in determining the appropriate acquisition method, including whether a set-aside is possible. An organization that is not considered a small business under the applicable NAICS code should not submit a response to this notice. PROJECT BACKGROUND The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Laboratory Sciences is looking for capable vendors for Maintenance of all CPSC Handheld X-ray Fluorescence Spectrometers. CPSC currently has 44 Thermo Scientific Niton XRF analyzer. The Service Agreement must cover all current CPSC XRF analyzers and any future handheld XRF analyzers that CPSC may purchase. The service of the XRF analyzers will take place at vendors location. CPSC will be responsible for shipping any XRF that need repair or service to the vendor. The vendor will be responsible for return shipping of repaired/service XRF analyzer to CPSC. PROJECT REQUIREMENTS Annual maintenance is solicited for the laboratory instruments listed below. The scope of work for this maintenance contract includes: Repair and calibration of handheld XRF analyzers as needed on agreed fixed cost of repair service Quick service (2 day or less) response once notified of service/repair need Loaner handheld XRF analyzer from vendor shall be made available to CPSC during any repair incident Qualified repair/service technicians and replacement parts All the handeld XRF analyzers CPSC currently owns are Themo Scientific Niton XL3t models List of the serial numbers on the analyzers: 75858, 76135, 75797, 75808, 76141, 75806, 76139, 75826, 72512, 72508, 72498, 72506, 81619, 82336, 83024, 83025, 83046, 83062, 83013, 83048, 82395, 83012, 83045, 83016, 83014, 83015, 83058, 82390, 83159, 83026, 83017, 83044, 83061, 8304, 83027, 83160, 83060, 83029, 82396, 83158, 82391, 83047, 66662, 72510 **For more information, see attached document**
