Description

Notice of Intent to Sole Source Synchronous Optical Networking (SONET) Ring Services The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to award a sole source contract under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(i)(B)(C) - Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements, to AT&T CORP., 3033 Chain Bridge Road, Oakton, VA 221854250 for Synchronous Optical Networking (SONET) Ring services at the following VA Medical Centers: Ann Arbor, Michigan; Battle Creek, Michigan; Detroit, Michigan; Saginaw, Michigan; Marion, Indian; Indianapolis, Indiana; and Danville, Illinois. This action will result in a firm fixed price contract. The period of performance will commence on or about April 1, 2013 for a six (6) month period ending September 30, 2013. The NAICS code for this requirement is 517110. The small business size standard for NAICS 517110 is 1500 employees. This Notice of Intent to award a sole source contract is not a request for competitive proposals. There is no solicitation document. No RFP will be available for competitive proposals. Interested parties may express their interest and provide a capabilities statement NLT Friday, March 22, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. EST.
