Description
SOLICITATION VA248-13-Q-0938 - AMENDMENT 03 JAMES A. HALEY CLIMBING WALL QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS 1. System description, section C. stated materials that are acceptable. Based on a summer installation, I would suggest a modular system which is a fiberglass system. Would fiberglass be permitted? Response: Fiberglass is not permitted. 2. System description, section A. Would you accept a 16' wide x 28' tall configuration? Response: Climbing wall shall be 30ft high x 15ft wide. 3. Do you have a full set of drawings for the building? Response: There are over 850 drawings for the project, which drawing are you interested in? 4. Do we have access to the space with a scissor lift? Response: As stated in the solicitation, the fully grouted masonry wall is located on the second floor. Electric scissor lifts, 32' narrow, or GS2632 or 2630ES lifts will fit on the elevator and go thru standard 7 foot doorways. 5. We will need to have information about the slab as our system has load requirements. Response: The floor is rated at 100 lbs/sf. Materials brought to the site for assembly shall be capable of fitting inside a standard passenger elevator that has a 5' wide clear opening, 8'-6" clear depth and 7' clear height opening and rated at 2500 lbs. 6. This system can be self-installed by the contractor on site building the facility as a cost savings. Response: The VA is not interested in having the building contractor install the product.
