- This notice/requirement is to purchase Center Wing Box Replacement Kits for installation on C-130J and C130J-30 Hercules Cargo aircraft. The government does not own the data rights; therefore, the government intends to award a firm fixed price contract to Cage Code 98897, Lockheed Martin Corporation DBA Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company, 86 South Cobb Dr, Marietta GA 30063 pursuant to the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible source. A complete engineering data package is not available for competitive solicitation due to proprietary rights claims by the manufacturer. Basic Requirement is 2 ea Center Wing Box Replacement Kit, Contractor support for Trial Kit Installment and Verification Installment, Spare parts, provisional spares, Nonrecurring Engineering Support, Various Data requirements; Center Wing Box Replacement Kit Options: Option I is 2 ea, Option II is 1 ea, Option III is 5 ea, Option IV is 1 ea and Option 5 is 4 ea. Delivery is approximately 27 months ARO contract or Option exercise. Ship to is To Be Determined. The Air Force will install the kits on to applicable aircraft. Distribution Code C applies. Offerors may register for receiving notifications for solicitation, revisions and amendments and to check FBO site prior to proposal submission. The solicitation will be posted at www.fedbizopps.gov. If you desire to obtain a copy, you must go through Fed Biz Opps to do so. No telephone requested will be honored. All questions shall be submitted to the Procuring Contracting Officer identified herein. Estimated release date of RFP is Feb/Mar 2013. The solicitation document contains information that has a military or space application. Only businesses that have been certified by the Department of Defense and have a valid need to know may have a copy of the solicitation document. All requests for copies of the solicitation document must include a certified copy of DD Form 2345. To request this certification, write to the Commander, Defense Logistics Services Center, ATTN: DLSC-FEB, Federal Center, Battle Creek, MI 49017-3084 and request a copy of Department of Defense Form 2345 or call the Defense Logistics Services Center on 800/352-3572. Interested parties may obtain copies of Military and Federal Specifications and Standards, Qualified Product Lists, Military Handbooks, and other standardization documents from the DoD Single Stock Point (DODSSP), in Philadelphia, PA. Most documents are available in Adobe PDF format from the ASSIST database via the Internet at http://assist.daps.mil. Users may search for documents using the ASSIST-Quick Search and, in most cases, download the documents directly via the Internet using standard browser software. Documents not available for downloading from ASSIST can be ordered from the DODSSP using the ASSIST Shopping Wizard, after establishing a DODSSP Customer Account by following the registration procedures or by phoning the DoDSSP Special Assistance Desk at (215) 697-2179 (DSN: 442-2179). Users not having access to the Internet may contact the DODSSP Special Assistance Desk at (215) 697-2179 (DSN: 442-2179) or mail requests to the DODSSP, Bldg. 4/D, 700 Robbins Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19111-5094. Patterns, Drawings, Deviations Lists, Purchase Descriptions, etc., are not stocked at the DODSSP. Based upon market research, the Government is not using the policies contained in Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in its solicitation for the described supplies or services. The proposed contract is restricted to a domestic source. Under the authority of FAR 6.302-3 foreign sources are not eligible for award.
