- THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION ANNOUNCEMENT. THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. THIS POSTING IS FOR INFORMATION ONLY. This Sources Sought is for planning purposes only and is a market research tool to determine availability and adequacy of potential 8(a) Small Businesses for Exterior Painting of Base Facilities at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska. This Sources Sought is being conducted as of 20 March 2013 to determine the capabilities of potential Contractors. The work includes but is not limited to: Provide all labor, materials, equipment, and work necessary to perform the work items in the bid schedule in accordance with the terms and conditions of the contract specifications. This project consists of exterior painting and finishing for base facilities. This includes the removal of finishes, lead paint abatement and disposal, and repair to existing finishes. All work is located in facilities at JBER, AK. The Contracting Officer will establish specific on-site construction dates for each separate delivery call. Task Orders can be of any range but are not anticipated to exceed $135,000.00 - with an annual anticipated amount up to $750,000.00. A Firm Fixed Price (FFP), Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) type contract with a base period and one (1) option year is anticipated. The Government is under no obligation to pay for information submitted in response to this Sources Sought. All the information submitted will be considered and treated as public information. The vendor should not include any pricing or proprietary information. This is not a Request for Proposal or Quote; therefore, responses to this notice shall not be accepted as offers and the Government is not required to issue a solicitation. The NAICS Code for this requirement is 238320 Painting and Wall Covering Contractors. Businesses responding to this Sources Sought Notice must provide a Statement of Capabilities.
